This Privacy Policy explains how Jake Bivens, Senior Loan Officer (NMLS #2059302) with Idaho Mortgage Group (NMLS #2536), collects, uses and protects information when you visit jakebivens.com (the "Site"). In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Jake Bivens and Idaho Mortgage Group; "you" means a visitor to the Site.

This policy covers the Site only. If you apply for a mortgage loan, Idaho Mortgage Group will give you its separate consumer privacy notice, as required by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). That notice explains how your nonpublic personal information is collected, shared and protected as part of a loan application, and it governs the information you provide in the loan application.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address and the message you write.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Emails and phone calls: anything you choose to share when you contact Jake directly.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers or other sensitive financial information through the Site's forms or by regular email. Jake will tell you how to provide that information securely if it is needed.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time. These logs are used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Site.
  • Cookies: the Site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. WordPress and our hosting provider may use essential cookies needed to run and secure the Site, for example when someone logs in to manage it.

Mortgage calculators

The calculators on the Site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or saved.

Third-Party Services and Links

  • Apply Now: the Apply Now buttons take you to a secure online loan application portal used by Idaho Mortgage Group. Information you enter there is handled under Idaho Mortgage Group's privacy notice and the portal's own terms, not this policy.
  • Embedded content: some pages load content from other providers, such as fonts from Google Fonts and the mortgage rate and market news content from Mortgage News Daily and MarketNewsletters shown on newsletter posts. When your browser loads this content, those providers can receive your IP address and basic browser information under their own privacy policies.
  • Social media and share buttons: links to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and other sites, and the share buttons on newsletter posts, take you to those services. Their privacy policies apply once you are there.
  • Other websites: we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of websites we link to, including NMLS Consumer Access and HUD.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact and newsletter information for as long as needed to respond to you, to send the newsletter you requested, or to meet legal and recordkeeping requirements. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.

How We Protect Information

The Site uses encryption (HTTPS) and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

  • Newsletter: you can unsubscribe at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to the newsletter or contacting us using the details below.
  • Access, correction and deletion: you can ask to see, correct or delete the information you gave us through the Site. We will honor your request unless we are required by law to keep the information.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy
